Artist History Dan (bass) and Adam (guitar) were talking about starting a band one day so they eventually picked their instuments. Later Justin (guitar) joined the band in spring '99. That summer they picked up a drummer (Eric) and kept him for a couple of months. Eric was dropped from the band because he did other things on days we were supposed to practice. One recording of a song with Eric remains and is track 9 on OCR. During that time the band was called 'Distortion'. A few months later a new drummer (DL) joined the band. The sessions with DL were ok at which point the band was renamed to Optical Illusion. About a month later DL was no longer the drummer for reasons unknown to me. Does this have something to do with the band "Killjoy Glenn"? Around December Ben (Drums) joined the band and we've been pretty successful with Ben. Since then we've decided to change our name to Crave and keep it that way. Around late December we started recording our songs. On Jan. 16th, 2000 we put songs from demo tapes, sessions, and even a clip of the Swedish Chef Song onto a CD. The first copy was given out on Jan 18, 2000. The first sale was on Jan 20th. On Feb. 11 two new versions of the CD were made. One of them is the regular 2nd edition which has the new version of "HEAVY". The other new version ofthe CD is the special edition which contains 4 new songs that didn't make it OCR. The public release of the special edition is still to be confirmed. Thanx to luke stacey for "sinsemilla street" #10 on OCR, you are the funniest person I know. Also for those of you who complain about only 10 songs on OCR were sorry but those are only half of our songs and we're going to make another CD with LOTS of songs 1-2 years from now. Also we're working on a VHS tape which includes our music videos so be patient a wait a month or two.
