Artist History
Originally from DeKalb, IL., Jim and Jayson started out 3 years ago as an acoustic duet playing for friends and parties. Rick & Joe came in a year later to provide a rhythm section and to form the foundation as a four piece band. Then Again began to play small clubs at NIU and started to build a good name for themselves. They recorded their first CD, Martians Don't Wear Lace, on a small budget in a living room studio. 1000 copies were made and they were sold out in a year. Then, about 8 months later, Steve came on board and added a new dimension to the Then Again sound. He fit in immediately and helped them become who they are today. Then Again continued playing venues in DeKalb, but soon found themselves performing to bigger crowds in their hometown of Chicago. It was easy to tell that the chemistry was right. They began writing new music together and with all of the pieces in place, they set off to record their 2nd CD, "Throwback," in April of 1998. Throwback hit the market this last January and is being well recieved by fans and critics alike. Coupled with their charm and their innate ability to just have fun with their music, Then Again is starting to achieve great success within the Windy City.
