Press Reviews
"'Sink In' is 13 tracks of great industrial/
alternative music. Their live show sound
reminded me quite a bit of Filter and
Gravity Kills, and their CD followed through.
Excellent production quality, and the structure
is solid. Play this one a lot...and play it loud.
- Noize Foundation
"A great local (Seattle) band.... They are a
unique industrial-ish rock band. Driving with
beats that are dancey, much more funky than
the norm. The vocals are fabulous, they give
the songs a melodic edge. Tight without
sounding canned, Sixty Cycle Hum uses all
live instruments. Check them out !!!"
- 3rd HIT
"Sixty Cycle Hum handed me their new album,
"Sink In", and this album rocks friends. I
especially enjoyed the pop sensibility of "Lie
Deep Inside" and "Forget". It's a guitar heavy
bit of techno with a metal edge that will satisfy
aggro-industrial fans and rock fans alike."
- Voltage
"They're tight, danceable and driving. With three
guitars and drum, the band relies on traditional
rock elements with a synth background. When
their new CD comes out BUY IT !!"
- Insite Magazine
"Sixty Cycle Hum's disc ("Sink In") is a sprawling
piece of work, full of big guitars and scary vocals.
The production is flawless, managing to balance
the live-band attack with programmed instruments,
beats, blips and ghost noises."
- University Reporter
"Sixty Cycle Hum fall somewhere within the
industrial realm. Their sound may be best
described as industrial pop. They have a melody-
based, danceable approach, with gothic
undertones. The 13-song release (Sink In) was
the product of three years' worth of writing and
recording. Several tracks impart a bit of goth into
the proceedings, to great effect."
