Artist History
As musicians, the members of Sine...the Band are a complementary amalgam of tastes, backgrounds and influences. The thing that brings us together is the MUSIC!!! The band was formed in the summer of 1998. Our debut CD was released early in 2000. "Sine Language" was recorded at Chicago's legendary Chicago Recording Company Studios with Robert Ian Winstin producing. Watch for Sine...the Band to be playing, LIVE! at a venue near you! Press Reviews
Martin A. Bartels - Pioneer Press 8/5/1999:"They aren't a houshold name yet, but Sine the Band has everything it takes to become a top name in pop rock.... Comparisons aren't easy to come by, but elements of bands ranging from early Fleetwood Mac to the more contemporary Hothouse Flowers. On a more local [Chicago area] level, it could safely be said that folks who like Poi Dog Pondering will want to take a listen.... top notch music and a positive message..."David Joost MP3.com Critics Corner:Sine: The Band is radio ready (whether via airwaves or online). They craft hook-laden high-energy pop songs that'll have you humming along hours later. I downloaded all their songs today and had my whole office asking who that great band was. Watch out for Sine: The Band. Their playing is really tight, and they sure know how to sing and put together a catchy song. This is a band that is rich in talent. HomePride Productions - June 7, 2000: "How does an unsigned, virtually unknown rock band make the unlikely jump from playing suburban sports bars to representing the United States at the 2000 Summer Olympics in Australia? This is the story of Palatine's Sine: The Band, and the more I talk to these guys, the more interesting their story becomes." |
