The band uses electric and acoustic guitars and mandolin, flute, drums, keyboards, bass module, sequencing software and a PC to deliver its distinctive sound. Artist History
earthsea goes back to 1988, when the two current
members, Geoff Sharp and Andrew Jones came together
in a band called Pantheon.
Pantheon became Earthsea in 1989, moving from four piece to 3 piece. The band broke up after about 3 years of playing.
The band reformed in 1995 as a 3 piece, recording and playing around Tasmania until 1997, when the bass player left and was replaced with keyboard bass.
In 1998, the band recorded some of its outstanding original material, and were encouraged to spread the word!
So, here we are! |
