Artist History
Brian has been playing music in his home state of Connecticut for many years. In his recent incarnation to solo singer/songwriter, though, Brian is quite new - but not for long. Brian is hitting acoustic venues and coffeehouses around New England and the east coast, in support of his debut acoustic CD. After only performing solo for one year, Brian has managed to catch the attention of press, promoters, radio and most importantly acoustic music fans. |

Press Reviews
Singer/songwriter Brian Dolzani has become a revered regular on Fairfield County's gig circuit and now he's got a CD to further endear himself. His tight and intricate acoustic work is highlighted by a methodical and soothing voice reminiscent of Neil Young, who makes a vicarious appearance on Fall Into Me's sole cover song, "Tell Me Why." Dolzani's lyrical mission seems to be a philosophical and spiritual search for universal truths, but he approaches his writing in an unpretentious, grounded and earthy way. His straightforward earnestness is the core of his charm both lyrically and musically; I suspect that he'd perform as sincerely for a lone barfly as for a sold-out stadium. Fall Into Me alternates between contemplative ballads like "Circles" and soaring tracks with an epic journeyman quality like "Sitting in the Clouds" and "Fall Into Me." Another stand-out track is "Countryside," an intriguing instrumental which vaguely reminds me of some of The Doors' experimental, melting interludes. In between these attention-getters, the album could use a touch more diversity, but overall, it's a solid debut. |
