Artist History
Bev S. recorded Arthur Loves Plastic's first project, Sperm Warfare, in her basement, and it was released in Europe by Britain's TEQ Music. After the label ceased operations, she independently released 5 albums. Her album Slice, won the 1998 Washington Area Music Award for best recording in the Techno/Ambient/Industrial/Electronic category, and will be released later this year by Hexagon Records (www.hexagonrecords.com. ALP's music is characterized by diverse rhythms and textures, as well as soundbites she collects while watching TV. Bev S. has also produced music for film, CD production libraries, and avante garde dance performances, and remixed a number of indie bands, including Smartbomb, Glassoline, and ode to abbey. ALP tracks are included on compilations recently released by Damage Records, Magnetic Resonance, 1216 Records, Orbit Music, and WE Records. |
