Artist History
Sometimes an artist comes along that can move your soul in ways none other has before...his or her music is a direct quote of the state of the human condition in both its feverish highs and most debilitating lows. He or she can craft a song lyrically and melodically that can only be described as having been touched by Devinity. Welcome to the world of Moe Loughran.
A Cincinnati native, Moe relocated to Nashville, TN where her tireless work ethic and unparalelled talent has caused her career to soar ever since. She most recently won the Coca-Cola New Music Award and as a result performed live on the 2003 American Music Awards - only the second unsigned artist to ever do so in the awards show's history. Moe has also toured the U.S. extensively as well as performed overseas on several U.S.O. tours. She has opened for popular artists such as James Taylor and Hall and Oates and played festivals like Woodstock '99, SXSW and Seattle's Rockrgrrl, has several song cuts on film soundtracks and major label artists' projects and in her spare time sings jingles for companies like Folger's Coffee.
However, it's what she writes and performs for herself where Moe truly excels. She can rock as hard as the boys or cry as sweetly as the girls with her latest power pop/modern rock offering entitled "The Tulip Tree" and her newest project currently in production entitled "Girl 4 Sale" is sure to prove even further that Moe is one of the greatest singer/songwriters making music today. Moe can more than hold her own against today's most popular male-dominated rock and power pop bands such as the Foo Fighters and the Goo Goo Dolls, but she also interjects a healthy dose of femininity into her lyric by fearlessly putting her heart and soul out there for the world to see. The result is the highest level of both artistic vision and marketability, making Moe not only a super hot commodity to potential audiences but also a critics' darling and artist of integrity. Take a listen to Moe Loughran for yourself...you will be a fan for life.
