Artist description
We are just 5 guys who like to get together whenever we can to jam a little bit (when our schedules allow). We figure our music is as good or better than a lot of what is popular today, but we also realize that only a handful of people will ever hear our music--we just hope that the few people who actually do hear it will get some enjoyment out of it. |

 |
Musical Influences

Artist History
The Johnny Handsome Project started back in 1998. We had been jamming for quite some time and decided it was time to invest some money and get some recording equipment to mess around with. A few months later we emerged with "The Road to Maddness", popular to the few people who have a copy. The next couple of years seen two members moving out of town. Matt went to Nebraska, and Jon to Indianapolis. In the summer of 2000, they came back to lay some tracks to what would eventually become "The Real Thing". It is more of an E.P. since it only has 5 songs, but we hope they will temporarily satisfy the hunger of our 10 or 12 fans! |

Press Reviews
".......It's hard to believe these guys only pick up their instruments two or three times a year. They've never played out live. They record everything in one member's basement. No studios, no club dates, no rock & roll attitude. You may know some of these guys now and you would never know they create music. Damn good music. I wonder how many "bands" are out there creating wonderful tunes just for their own satisfaction. It makes me wonder if bands like Johnny Handsome devoted their full attention to making music, how many new "stars" would the local scene produce? .....Such is life, as they say...Just so I'm one of the lucky few who get the latest effort from the Johnny Handsome Project ."
