Artist History
Esther Valentine's brand of New Country music has been making folks feel better, with its organic, heartfelt, and high spirited style. It swings and it sings, and it reels and it feels!Esther Valentine's father used to love to listen to country music...although he was from Coney Island. Her sister had her crooning to Connie Francis at an early age. (Don't knock it, she was a great singer) Her mother (from England) was jammin' to old Broadway tunes and Music Hall. With all these eclectic influences, Esther soon found herself enchanted with Linda Ronstadt, Carol King, Bonnie Raitt, Bessie Smith, Ruth Etting, and Gershwin. So, it's no wonder that Esther's music is packed with super-charged emotionality, authenticity, and that big, beautiful voice that just doesn't quit! She's the real thing...recognizing that the heart and core of country music will never die! (just like Buddy Holly)
Esther (and Gregg Montante) recently got one of their songs on "The Shield." |
