Artist description
Colonel Stem is a Chicago based group that has devised their own version three piece rock. The formula is simple: seven string guitars, pounding bass, mathematically correct percussion, tasteful samples, a ton of twisted lyrics, and a van to get from show to show. This simple equation has landed Colonel Stem in studios with producers such as Steve Albini (Nirvana, Page and Plant, Bush, The Breeders) and Johnny K. (Disturbed, Mighty Blue Kings, Relative Ash, Unloco, No One), on stage opening for acts such as Chevelle, Liquid Gang, Marz, From Zero, and Relative Ash, on numerous compilations, and on college and public radio all across the northwest. Their 5 song ep is getting rave reviews being compared to Primus meets Rage Against the Machine. |
