Press Reviews
"DEAD SKIN" Review(Kerrang! 22nd July 1995 by Biohazard)At last, a decent racket. Thousand mile-an-hour Punk rock supplied, if I'm not mistaken, by ex-Stupids man Ed Shred. It's not big or clever, but it sure is fun. Dire rap effort on the B-side that the press guff describes as C-Rap. Indeed.Billy: "Sounds like early JFA."Evan: "That's cool!" Bobby: "I prefer the Punk side. I'm in a fucked up mood right now and that's what I need to hear!"INCOMING! - Suk's Surefire Tips For The Top (Snowboard UK Magazine November 1995 by Ian Watson)The late 80s UK hardcore scene was dominated by one name: the Stupids. Hailing from Britain's First City Of Punk, Ipswich, the threesome were a much-needed humorous counterpoint to the self-righteous bleating of the anarcho brigade and rapidly became cult heroes. Following their split in the early nineties, main man Ed Wenn went on to Sink and from there to the country tinged Big Ray, but now he's returned to that knockout popcore spirit with the superb Chocolate. Their new single "Blue Streak" is catchier than rabies and the flip, "Items Of Interest" sounds like a DIY Beasties. Watch out for their debut album, "Hung, Gifted & Slack". Luverlee. |
