This song is redone from the classic song by the "Hollies". If you think this is another cheesy redo by some gant band, then think again and have a listen. This artist's angelic voice carries the song and you get the sense that this is the first time that the song has ever been done. She has a way of getting into a low octave that is just a treat. I haven't heard a voice that uses that effectively in a long time. The song sounds so close to the original that the only thing that makes it better is the slight raspyness of Annette's voice. Her vibrato is strong and constant which is right on time with the tempo. I think this artist has what it takes to sell quite a few records because I listened to all of the other songs at her mp3 site also.
The sound quality is one of a karoke machine, constant drum loops and perfect timing. It almost sounds too good for a band that just lands in your lap over the net. The musicians have done a quite good job on keeping the rythm and tempo perfect. The mix is a little off and the bass has a bit too much power for this song but other than that I have listened to this about forty times now and just keep it running over and over.
I would like to see Annette get an engineer who has the ability to draw out the finer points in her music. This coupled with a manager who can find a specific audience for her, she can get a great following and keep them. I urge you to get to her music and listen to this well defined artist.
