Press Reviews
Review of "Sworded" by Sence: Knowledge Magazine/Raw42.com....“Very impressive tension building intro to the track, the beats and snare all sound sharp and stand tall in the mix. the bassline has a lovely "smooth" texture to it. It covers both the hi-end and the low-end frequencies and doesn't sound like its been "distorted to death" but more like coaxed into sounding that little bit nastier as its been built, an excellent inclusion of some really "stand out" hi-hats really add that great "konflict/optical" styling to the track. its great to hear the fx haven't been forgotten about as the tune rolls on and on. the more you hear this one, the more it grows and grows on you”....................Review of "Sworded" by DnBscene.com: “This track opens with some high-quality ambience that is spooky as fuck. It sets you up with great expectation, which is only fuelled further when the beats start. An innovative rhythm (apparently in two bars of three and a bar of two, at least to start with) combines with nice drum sounds, and you're sure this track is going to be a stormer”.......“The bass sound is fantastic” .......“The programming is excellent, and I particularly like the cymbals/hats, an area of the kit neglected in all too many drum'n'bass tracks”........“Very high production standard and a fat dose of originality”.......................................Review of "Surge" by Sence: Knowledge magazine/raw42.com: “its not a case of "guess the sample" here with “Vacious” it's all about careful and meticulous blending and building up of his sounds from scratch”......“The beats here have been compressed nicely and really hit home and have a great metallic "twang" to them”......Review of "Surge" by DnBscene.com: “some nicely building atmospherics which succeed in getting your attention before bringing in the breaks. There is a bassline used effectively underneath the atmospherics and leads, rarely taking the forefront in the track and this works to give the other parts of this something to build uponSound quality is high and the artist has made very good use of delays and filters with the sounds”........“A very enjoyable tune and well worth checking out” |
