Artist description skOOm is a name you should take notice of. This woman will make it. Really make it. skOOm was born nearby Trondheim, Norway, twenty-three years ago. After seven years her nomadic way of living started, and after a period of seven years she had lived in more than six countries. Already as a fifteen-year old, she started composing and moved to London to work as a sound-engineer. After spending two years there, she ended up in Los Angeles where she spent her time playing at different clubs to make a living. Until one day, when she met a strange man on the beach. He told her that she had to move to New York within three days, or her career would stagnate (!!!). skOOm learned at an early age to trust her instinct, and barely made it to New York within the given time limit. The first night she was there, skOOm met her band and things really started to roll. As you probably get by now, skOOm has the ability to make things happen around her. As if this shouldn't be enough, she also seems to mysteriously be in the right place at the right time as well. You might understand this a little bit better if I tell you that on September the 11th. of 2001 skOOm appeared on National television in Norway. Five minutes before the first terror attack hit, she was on camera getting ready to perform her brand new single for the first time, which remarkably was, and still is, dedicated to Osama Bin Laden! And what is even more stunning is the fact that she was wearing a t-shirt with a HUGE American flag. This is just a small example of what strange things skOOm experience on a daily basis. skOOm already has released three singles in Norway, one just as successful as the other, and she is now ready to release her first single in England and other countries worldwide. skOOm has appeared innumerable times on television and radio in Norway, and is often recognized for her genius artist-logo (a barcode on her upper left arm). She has built up an impressive network in the film- advertising- and music business, and already has two major tv-commercials behind her (skOOm made the music for these). She also had an outstanding record-deal with Sony Music, which she chose to leave a year back due to internal conflicts in the company. In addition to writing all her own music, she also co-produces and arranges it. She has had the privilege of working with seventy-nine of the best musicians in Norway, amongst them the Oslo Philharmonic Orchestra. They spent close to three years together in the studio to finish up her amazing debut-album. This woman will not stop until she knows everything is "as good as it's ever going to get"!
