    Artist description
I love pure acoustic sound, and I love my Italian roots. So I mainly use instruments of my Italian heritage in the songs that I play and compose. My “SUD – twelve pearls for guitar” CD includes instruments such as: classic and acoustic guitar (sometimes with the open tuning C G C G C G), the "chitarra battente" (it is a 10 strings guitar made with only thin strings, very popular in the XVII century), mandolin, mandoncello (it is similar to mandolin, with eight strings, and approximately the size of a guitar), 12 string guitar, bouzouki (another eight string instrument, of Turkish and Greek origin). I also use the "slide" technique (using the so called "bottleneck", a steel ring put on a finger of the left hand) on quite every instrument. I always loved to record, so I got a degree in Recording Engineering at Sam Ash Music Institute in New York during my one year and a half staying in the States, and when I returned to Italy I built a very well equipped recording studio, which I mainly use for my recordings. \\----------------------\\ I also love to experiment with MIDI and electric guitars, so I gathered several electronic compositions in the CD named “The sixth day”. The mood of “the sixth day” CD is very different from the acoustic sound of the “SUD” CD, and I invite you to give a listen to the dark atmosphere of “one more baby to eat” and “schizoid” (a very weird electric guitar solo) to have an idea of my concept of experimental music.

    Artist History

I wanted to tell you how much I enjoyed your playing. I love your sensibilities!! I love your work so much. Your playing is very unique. It's musicians like you who add dimension to the instrument. My friend Gary Green was in a band many years ago called GENTLE GIANT that was very popular in Italy many many years ago. Ever heard of them?Paul Adams - liuthier and composerI listened to your music and it was a pleasure to hear great music written by somebody who knows what they're doing as opposed the other 100 requests that I get from people who don't know what they're doing...Paul Radelat - mp3.com artist I really enjoy your music! It is so soothing, yet still exciting at the same time. I am going back for the rest!Kyle Young - guitarist, www.mp3.com/kyleyoungYour play is great!Noda Goro - Japan, mp3s.com/noda_goro Lord have MERCY! You can play the GUITAR!!! God has gifted you, sir. What a pleasure to listen to someone so talented.Caryle - greatwindrecords@cchdp.org You've done an excellent job there with the "Antidotum" song. It's an interesting treatment of a renaissance piece. It was well recorded and the warmth of the mix really came through in the download. I hope you make it into the top charts where you belong.David Allan - guitarist, www.mp3.com/DavidAllan Who wrote the piece Domenica a San Leucio? That is very impressive. I really really think that piece is brilliant!Louis Loria - GuitaristI listened to your song Antidotum. Wow, it's beautiful! I wish I could play like that. Beautiful my friend, and great recording quality too! It sounds so natural and clean. My compliments :) I was so impressed with Antidotum that I decided to listen to Soleado too. Incredible. Thanks for sharing it with me. I will put it on my station right away. I am a classically trained opera singer, and I love this kind of music that you are playing much more than pop music!Jodie- leader of "Speed Limit 35", mp3.com/SpeedLimit35 You are a very talented composer and guitar player.Steve Booke - artist, www.Stevebooke.com“Soleado”: I'm a glutton for Emilio's fretboard antics. This is one of those musicians who make you feel embarrassed to say "I play the guitar etc". This guy can really play... and compose... Check out the rest of his compositions too... and a few other instrumentals which he didn't compose... but plays beautifully.mp3.com/stations/bernis_folk_n_things_page“Antidotum”: This song is so beautiful it could bring tears to your eyes. It has a delicacy and beauty like a spring morning!mp3.com/stations/love-ly_songs“Domenica a San Leucio”: Steve Hackett fans will like this guy. Finest material I've come across on mp3.com to date. Very good.”Sud”: This guy is simply awesome! (Daniel Cox)
