Artist History
Downpour originated as a name change from the former Child's Play-- Mike Hertel read an article about the Downpour of music out of South Florida!!! Two original members dropped out due to a distance problem -- J. Deno Brown bringing a more alternative bass style and guitarist singer/songwriter Jason Canary entered the picture. With original drummer Carol Ascari, the 4 piece recorded their 4-Track Demo "We're Having Fun Now" and hit the Local South Florida Music Scene-- Playing the stages of Tobacco Road, Culture Room, the Roxy, just mention a few-- January 15th, 2000 they produced, with the help Christian R. Franco of Urok Studio( http://www.urok.com ), a Video of several songs from stage of Kim's Alley Bar in Ft. Lauderdale. 3 songs were ripped, encoded, and uploaded to Mp3.com. Shortly after this Carol left the band. Artie Manno a drummer from Long Island New York filled in for several months until April 2001 -- Carol rejoined the Band with deno & Jason and are presently looking to add another Guitar but are rehersing as a three piece for the time being . Check the Bands Official Homepage at http://www.downpourmusic.com often to learn more about the band and news . Peace |
