Artist History Corsciana was formed from the suggestion of guitarist/casiobrokenkeyboardist/melodickist Casey Philbin. Casey had a warm place in his heart for bands such as PellMell/Scenic/BookerT.andtheMG's/SonicYouth/Television/Minutemen. He 'coaxed' drummer Miles Brown, noise-y guitarist Dan 'the icecreaman' Henderson, and NY native-bassist Keith Kurczewski into forming a unit with the sound and ethics of the mentioned ensembles. Corsciana was formed in the soil rich pastures of San Luis Obispo in 1997, and quickly gained a reputation as a band with a willingness to play with as many diverse acts as possible (Babe the Blue Ox, Soul Junk, Bedhead,etc.) Now calling Oakland, California their hometown, Corsciana has been woodshedding and writing songs that further their sound beyond their influences. It has been heard over many a cold, foggy evening in Oakland, 'Corsciana...We Are the Future!'
