Artist History
Best friends singer/guitarist Dave Rand and bassist Asa Wilks first started playing together in 1996. When they met drummer Jon Freund in 1997, Zero to 60 officially formed. Guitarist Eric Phelpsjoined up during 1998, completing Zero to 60's current line-up. When drummer Jon Freund had to go to Fort Bennings, GA for Army Reserves basic training, drummer Dan Collins filled in for him for several months, making significant contributions to the Zero to 60 sound. Press Reviews
"0-60 is an aggressive punk band with a great sound... At their performance on the last day of the last school year, they did a remake of a song from the musical Les Miserables that blew me away. This band is great." - The Tattler, Nov 4 1998 *** "Zero to 60 is one of the greatest bands to ever grace the halls of Ithaca High School. Their blend of Less Than Jake neo-ska and hardcore punk, combined with lyrics almost exclusively about teenage romance make a formula that can't miss." - The Tattler Dec 1999 |
