Artist History Three out of these four started a group in highschool called 'The Vitals' out of which Zen Bender was formed after a few years apart at respectivejobs and/or colleges. Zen Bender was formed in the scorching summer of 1993 in New York City. The band began an extended vacation finally in the springof 1997 after the 3rd and final bass player quit the band.
