Artist description
"The Generator" is me, Trevor M. The engine I used to put together my samples is eJay.com's Special Edition Software. My music is generated with a unique style. When putting together my tracks I sometimes follow 4/4 bars or 4/8 and sometimes combine both together by counting out the bars, keeping track of my methods and visualizing the changes in rythym on each track. Developing my technique and skill on eJay's engine has allowed me to put together sampled sounds into cool tracks. The tracks have heart & soul and a funky flavoured rythm so check them out. And I hope I've generated some cool tracks with this engine.
They remind me of a rythym I've always wanted to express, I think it is called a heart beat ;-).
Right now I'm looking for an artist to create a cover picture for my band. I don't have very good photo skills and need a litle help ("tmcquaker@hotmail.com" suggestions?). Send me some e-mail if you are intrested or just send e-mail to say how much you like new track styles or just send e-mail to Trevor M. (tmcquaker@hotmail.com "The Generator") on my page. |

Artist History
Many years I have always experimented with old vynal records & scratching my parents ears off in my basement. Trying to catch that right groove that makes the most moving (busy) sounds and bring rythm out of it all is what I inttended to do for years. Now with new MP3 format and the help of MP3.com's hosting ability for new artists (expiremental & talented) I hope I can achive this goal (listen and find out), and bring forth the the style of an era. The early 80's had talented masterminds with good freestyle lyrics & behind them All was a smooth vynel scratching Genius on the record(s). Okay, so much for explanations, here's the dirt. The way I see it it is completely the other way around with talented vynel scratching dj's on records with freestyle lyrics to back up those geniuses mixing the beats together. And I hear it that way, when I listen to my music. I'm trying to captured some of those same (mixy) beat like tracks in my sample generated music. One of my big inspirations in Rap music IS "Herby Hancock", his music always carries the tracks from beat to beat to give them a life of their own. I've enjoyed his music for years, I hope you EnJoy! these too. |
