Artist description M.Y.C. are a MIDI mad scientist/vocalist, a tall somber bassist, and femme fatale guitarist/lyricist creating deranged melodies, disturbing lyrics, and baneful beats! We consider our music to be gothic rock as opposed to being a straight "goth" band. However, in our music one will find dark emotive themes and borrowings from goth, industrial and electronic genres.

Musical Influences Early 80's synth bands (like Depeche Mode, DEVO, early Ministry), older gloom rock like the Cure, Bahaus, Psychedelic Furs, Swans and artists such as Nick Cave.

Artist History M.Y.C. got together around 2000. With various musical backgrounds, Monster in Your Closet create their unique sound. We've played many of Ohio's top local gothic and industrial bands. MYC has recorded the EP Momma's Boy and recently full length CD Nightlight, as well as, touring regionally.
