Artist History Like any vocation, Kellee's passion for music began very early, and at the tender age of 11 that she decided she would be a singer; she started writing her own tunes at only 14. Singing first in choirs and then in many bands, trying a wide range of different musical genres, always with an open mind, strong personality and lots of hard work led to Kellee's distinctive style. Born and raised in Haïti, Kellee grew up surrounded by a lot of different musical styles, from Afro-Caribbean to Jamaican reggae and of course a lot of African-American Rhythm and Blues. It's easy to understand why Kellee is, culturally speaking, such a rich artist.
