    Artist History
Jazz Catastrophe was formed in 1993 in Lansing, IL, by Potter, Cocke, and Durian. Potter and Cocke were pals in high school who had played in some previous bands together. Durian meet Potter through a friend who was his and Cocke's guitar player at the time (August, 1992). Stewart joined in February, 1993, after meeting Cocke in a music store. The band played until they broke up in November, 1993. Since that time, Durian has played solo (see www.mp3.com/DavidDurian), as a member of the Durian/Goelzer Projects (see www.mp3.com/DurGoelP), and as Tengram (see www.mp3.com/Tengram). Potter and Cocke have since formed 3FM, with Timothy Riordin (see www.mp3.com/3fm). Stewart vanished into the mountains of Colorado in 1994, and has not been heard from since. Currently, Durian plays as Tengram, while Potter and Cocke play as 3FM. To hear Durian's Tengram music, go to www.mp3.com/Tengram. To hear 3FM's music (Potter/Cocke), go to www.mp3.com/3fm. Recently, Rob, Archie, and Dave reunited to record a few songs and remaster the material you are hearing on this site. They also played one show, and the song "Happy Campers" was recorded during this reunion.
