Artist description
Do you like good science fiction movies? Do you like intelligent electronic music? Then have a listen to F451. You may be pleasantly surprised! F451 Fuse Electronic music and "found sounds" with the worlds of Science Fiction. The result is an unusual form of audio sensoria! HSR says: "From the opening track you know you're on a one way trip to "Hardware Heaven" .... Thumping bass and rhythm combine with TV samples to act as a backdrop for a robotic vocal that 'sings' verse and chorus...The songs - are dramatic and memorable. As for me, I'm grabbing my leathers and hammer-drill, and I'm off to find me a Replicant." |

Artist History
It all started in a CD Listening Bar we dropped into while we were in Germany. We came upon a CD single entitled "101", by a band called "Finitribe", and it blew us away. While F451's sound ended up going in a different direction, listening to this track was an inspiration. Shortly after returning home a test song "Mortal" was Recorded to see how the seminal ideas that were perculating would work together in a recording. We had experimented with using computer generated speech synthesis in tracks recorded years earlier for a group called "Psyche" and were looking for a smoother more realistic type of synth voice to add to our mixes. It was coincidental that right at this time we found a "Speak and Spell" that a local store was giving away on clearance sale. The voice from this unit was perfectly suited to us and that was when speech synthesis was added to our music, and F451 was born.In 2000 the project was revived by it's producer and new tracks were recorded. Our MP3.com site contains most of the mixes recorded by F451.We hope you enjoy the mixes represented here. If you like, drop us a line and give us your positive comments. Thanks for your support! |
