Artist History
The history is long and sordid. First their was Chair, a Mpls band that evolved into a full out country band around 1994. David, our pedal steel/lead guitar player left and we decided to scrap everything and start new. The result was Federal Weights and Measures, which you can also find here on mp3.com. After several years playing as The Feds, our drummer left. So started writing songs that didn't require a drummer. The songs had a very different feel, obviously, so we thought we should form a side project. Shy Dragger is that project. |

Press Reviews
Here's some classic Midwestern Alt Country. Warm, electric tones accompany a properly recorded acoustic guitar (it's about freakin' time!) and a gritty voiced singer who sounds like he has a couple of friends named Jack Daniels and Nick O. Teen. The songs here are passionate ditties with clever arrangements and towering vocal harmonies. Bonus points for being from Minnesota and not trying to approximate Son Volt, Wilco, or Whiskeytown too closely. - listen.com |
