Artist description Matt is an up and coming young artist from the Phoenix Area. Matt started playing the guitar at the age of 5. His parents were his first major influence. He grew up in a family full of music surrounded by sounds of Classic Rock and Folk Music. He started taking lessons that same year and was introduced to the styles of Neil Young and the Beatles. By the age of 12, Matt started playing solo gigs at local pubs. At age 14 he wrote his first song "No Time to Play", which is featured here. A few years later he started writing more original music. Matt is currently 19, and plans to spend the next few years producing music. His main goal in life is to be a respected musician in the music industry and succeed in writing music. His other interests are playing piano and harmonica. Matt lived in Ohio until he was 14, then moved to Arizona, where there is more opportunity in the music industry. He left Ohio in July of 2000 and is now living in Arizona. His father and mother also were song writers, and from a young age he experienced a variety of music. Mostly the sounds of Fleetwood Mac and James Taylor were heard throughout the years. Expressing a form of communication with his listeners is what he pulls for.
