I write musicals. I used to do book, music, and lyrics, but nowadays I leave the book to other poor saps. I have heard opinions all across the board as to how "mainstream" my shows are; I just tell the story and let people describe it how they will. |

Artist History
DRAGONS: Performed in concert, Amherst College, 1997; Inaugural production of Silver Wordsmith Productions, 1998. Each production was recorded, though neither CD is very good. Revisions currently in progress, with a new book by Johnnie Lamar Odom II. THE MIRROR SONG: Workshopped and produced at Amherst College,1998-1999. Recorded live in performance. THE QUEEN IS DEAD, LONG LIVE THE QUEEN: Book by Rachel Adelstein based on her original play. Preliminary reading at Amherst College, 1997. Demo recording made, 2000. THE BOY WHO DREW CATS: A children's musical, book by Brooke Pierce, based on a Japanese fairy tale. Recording made summer 2001. HERSHELE THE STORYTELLER: Book by Brooke Pierce, based on Yiddish folk tales. Reading in NYC, October 2002. Several one-act straight plays produced/read/won contests in Providence, the Pioneer Valley (MA), California, and New York City. |
