Artist History IMPACT MACHINE THE STORY(so far)It all started in late 1998 when five musicians (and friends) realized that playing covers is only a waste of creativity, so we started to write our own material instead.People around Impact Machine suddenly opened their ears and started to talk about the band. The first demo session took place only a couple of weeks from the first rehearsal so we could evaluate the new material.The demo "Doomwatcher" was recorded and mixed in three days, we now had four songs that we thought represented the band.After a change of line up (guitar player Rickard left us) we set of to our first gig in summer 1999, it was an open-air gig in a small Swedish town.It was a thrilling experience to play the first gig and test our new material on a audience that never heard us before, but they liked what they heard and we all had a good time.After a couple of gigs we decided that we should record new songs that we had written, the old demo wasn’t that representative to the band anymore.So we gathered up in our rehearsal studio to start recording, three months later "New Clear Morning" saw the light of day.Impact Machine is a band that combines the music of today with the influences of the great pioneers in heavy music.So here we are in the year 2000 looking at the future, ready to bring METAL to the people.
