Artist History
It all started after a failed attempt to make a computer game. We were bored, out of purpose, tired of writing down Sisters of Mercy's lyrics in a dark room filled with computers and alcohol, and desperate for something to do. So Frank bought himself a Sound Blaster and brought it in that dark room (also known as "le local du CRI"). We composed our first song on a sunday night: "Conformity Phobia". It was funny, it was dark with a vengeance and very immature, yet, it sparkled a taste for composition. We did have a (ahem) background in music. Frank used to be part of a band called Vox Popüli (later called Euphoria). They did Depeche Mode covers along with their own compositions. Alex had "experimented" on his Adlib card (which at the time was top of the line sound card for the PC). He then bought himself a Sound Blaster (actually got it on his birthday). In 1996, we released our first album under no particular label. Friends (and their friends) bought the CD which was also sold independently through local retail outlets.Year 2000's resolution: A new album with new material. Probably (and hopefully) very different from the first. We'll see! |
