Artist History
Elektel are funked-out Sci-Fi combo from Tokyo, Japan.
Late one night, Ken was spinning a 12" vinyl in a cyber sushi bar at Shibuya.
Suddenly he hit upon great idea, he sent e-mail to his friend, "Polymoog" Yoshiro.
"Polymoog" is known as a synthesizer crazy. He was editing old keyboard in his laboratory. He called his friend Mamiko on vid-phone.
Meanwhile Mamiko was playing Beethoven in her studio.
And they tried to perform brand new tunes in the club. Wow! Groovy! The songs sound fantastic!
Then Elektel began at January 1, 2000.
Every night Ken is scratching vinyl and mixing all music - lounge,
house, breakbeats and bossa nova at his bonsai garden.
Polymoog is operating sequencer, sampler and old synthesizer in his
laboratory.
They don't make the tracks together, they works separately and exchange
files by Internet.
They are inspired by technology and science; Linux, Play Station, MP3,
Anime, Pokemon, Internet, PC and cyber space.
Now they set a goal to distribute their songs from the earth to the other
planet.
An electric fusion of sound from the Elektel Era and sound from the
year 2000 and beyond.
Sit back and sayonara!
