This CD has a limited edition of 100 CDs.News: The second album "2 b or not 2 b" was released in April, 2000! Three songs from this album are now ready for download and listening! Something about our second album: Yes! Here we are again! 6 years after the release of "can`t get enough" and unbelieveable 20 years of playing live, the band has decided to start up with a new album."2 b or not 2 b" that is the merciless question for a band that has been together for such a long time, because everyone of us had enough reasons for leaving and going separate ways! But instead of falling apart we have concentrated on finding new ways of making our style of music. Finally we came to a rough and fresh kind of playing our songs, which means pure fun when we are on stage. The first album "can't get enough", which was released in 1994, is an expression of the band's lifestyle. Press Reviews Knackiger Sixpack macht ein Fass auf Quelle: Amberger Nachrichten vom 20.04.2000 AMBERG. Jungs, wie die Zeit vergeht ... Es sind tatsächlich schon 20 Jahre, in denen der knackige SixPack von "Bourbon" live zu erleben ist! Zu diesem besonderen, weil in der Musikszene wirklich seltenen Geburtstag haben die Musiker sich und ihren treuen Fans ein richtig schönes Geschenk gemacht: Sechs Jahre nach Erscheinen der ersten CD "Can't get enough" erscheint nun der zweite Silberling 2 B or not 2 B", der pünktlich zum Bourbon-Gig beim Kneipenfestival am Samstag, 28. April, im "Rockdomizil" erstmals live präsentiert wird. Ähnlich wie bei "Can't get enough" ist auch der Titel der zweiten Bourbon-CD mehr als nur eine Wortspielerei, sondern hat schon seinen tieferen Sinn - auch wenn sich Josef Schatz, Andreas und Martin Gruber, Martin Görgner, Adi Wirth und Tom Thöma gerade angesichts der Erfolge in den letzten Jahren als echte Festival-Band die berühmte Sinnfrage wohl nicht stellen müssen. Und während die regionale Szene reihen-weise Splits auch von erfolgreichen Bands verkraften muss, haben die Musiker von "Bourbon" dieses denkwürdige Jubiläum zum Anlass genommen, sich neu zu orientieren. Neue Wege für ihre Art von Musik wollten sie finden, und entdeckt haben sie neben Frische und Kraft für ihre Songs: ihre Muttersprache! Das Ergebnis war auch für "Bourbon" eine Überraschung, wie sie selbst zugeben, denn durch die Sprache wurde die Musik so beeinflusst, dass sich völlig neue musikalische Horizonte für die Bandmitglieder eröffneten. Das hört man auch auf "2 B or not 2 B": Zwei der Songs singen sie in Deutsch ("Parasit" und "Wieder so weit"). Insgesamt sieben Songs sind auf der CD (ca. 33 Minuten), alle aus der Feder von Martin Gruber, getextet von ihm und seinem Bruder Andi. Eingespielt wurden sie live vor knapp einem Jahr im "Bourbon"-Proberaum, im Herbst, nach der anstrengenden Festival-Saison, dann im Band eigenen Studio verfeinert und schließlich Anfang diesen Jahres gemastered. Und wer jetzt noch grübelt, wie die Musiker von "Bourbon" selbst ihre Shakespearesche Sinnfrage be-antworten... Ist doch ganz einfach: 2 B! Was sonst?
