Artist History
The VELVETEEN MONSTER started out as Jux County's side project in 1997, but has evolved into one the most uniquely original outfits around. Old-time juxters may recognize Denise from her lovely back-up vocals on the song "454" from the 1991 Jux album Spendin' the Day. She now plays keyboards and sings for The Monster (with Andy also on vocals). After opening for equally esoteric bands Acetone and 16 Horsepower, we are playing occasional live shows, instrumental halloween bashes, and art gallery openings around Denver. |
