Artist History Toni Arthur is a singer-songwriter-poet whose work tells of a young woman's journey through life. Fiery and passionate, she explores the drama of her world with raw emotion. She has been a featured poet at Midnight Special Bookstore in Santa Monica on several occasions. She began her writing career at the age of eight, when she wrote her first poem. As a songwriter, she is also prolific; she has written over two hundred songs. Toni Arthur is currently in the studio with producer Joe Solo (Macy Gray, Rami Jaffee of the Wallflowers) finishing up her first demo/album, "The Virgin and the Whore" (The first two singles, "Desired" and "Good for Now Girl" are due in May). Toni Arthur lives in Southern California with her cat and entourage of poets, musicians, and other madmen. A redhead with all the relentless persistence of the breed, she pursues her craft as a poet, singer-songwriter and experience junkie. When times are hard, she's been known to mutter, "Mistakes become great songs."

Some songs tell of how women cope with the expectations of society. Some tell the tale of love lost and heartbreak. Others follow the turbulent ride of relationships.
