Artist description Jason Flatowicz and Ben Swift are "The Roomates," two guys who wrote some 1000 songs during the 1996-1997 school year, and who went on to record another 500 during the 97-98 school year (and went on to record a few more after that, but the band's inner turmoil prevented them from touring again). All songs were improvised (written and recorded) in one take, onto a hand held Radioshack tape recorder in a dorm room. Jason and Ben both attempt the guitar, "drum," and voice.

Artist History Jason and Ben were roommates in the UNL dorms during the 1996-1997 year. We wrote a bunch of songs, around 1000, but sadly disbanded aroung the end of 1998 due to conflicting interests (Jason's prophecy came true, he has schizophrenia). Now hear this: The Roomates have reunited and are currently recording songs again!
