Artist History
Richie Barron began his career in Indiana as guitarist and vocalist for Junior Walker. He then formed his own touring band with Frank Beard, now drummer for ZZ TOP. Influenced by playing the clubs of Chicago and Dallas, Texas, these influences are evident in his current hard-hitting, funk and blues style. After touring nationwide for a number of years, Richie made his way to the San Francisco Bay Area, where he recorded his first CD with Buddy Miles (Jimi Hendrix, Electric Flag)and Rock n' Roll Hall of Fame inductee, Michael Carabello (Santana). |

Press Reviews
"Richie Barron has taken the West Coast by storm with his original style of music. When individuals of this musical caliber come together, creative music is bound to flow, leaving you filled with sounds you'll remember long after the performance has ended. You won't be disappointed"..KKUPJ.C. Juanis, Relix Magazine (music for the mind)..."Live, Richie Barron packs a whallop. Barron has assembled one of the finest bands playing the blues today. At a recent show, Barron's powerful blues vocals and well-honed Gibson Les Paul work defined each song. The musical interplay between Barron and slide guitarist Burgstahler was nothing short of magnificent |
