Press Reviews RA “Sinnocence” Tribal Productions rating: 6 of 6 This is definitely the kind of work with no single point I could possibly cavil at. For those who still do not know, RA appears as a side-project led by Andrei Rusu (a.k.a. Vlad), the one who’s most known due to his participation in AGATHODAIMON. This time he took over guitar parts, whilst Byron is the one to sing (and that was definitely a wise decision!). Musically this is some kind of dark wave, resembling of the latest CD by AUTUMNBLAZE, KATATONIA’s “Tonight Decision” as well as PROMETHEAN, although atmospherically it’s more serene and romantic, standing quite far away from anything pertinent to the notion of “depressive”. Generally speaking, this is a bit dreamy, with excellent synth-lines and arrangements (+ few samples put in exactly where they should be), even though “Sinnocence” is more or less guitar-based effort. By the way, Vlad surprisingly turned out as a skillful guitarist – in fact, the same goes for the rhythm-section. Being versatile and memorable, sometimes heavy, sometimes almost pop-structured, this work also features lotsa innovative ideas, thus turning into the sort of CD you HAVE TO check out.
