Artist description
SUPERROCK would be a fitting way to describe the type of style this new band stands for. Influenced by various bands from the 70’s, such as Aerosmith and Led Zeppelin, mixed up with modern sounds all the way from hard hitting rock to more catchy songs that lean more towards a Robbie Williams meets Bon Jovi type of sound. That is why this band is not typecasting themselves as a hard rock band. Superrock stands for great songs that everyone can listen to and enjoy. Even your grandmother. Pride was formed in 1997 and consists of Stig Petersen: vocal, Rene Shades: guitar, Mads Hald: drums and Thomas Slott: bass. Pride moved to Hollywood, California, in 1999 and spent 8 months there writing material and playing all over Los Angeles. Even headlining such places as the legendary Whisky a Go Go on Sunset strip. The band also opened up for old time rockbands Tesla, Quiet Riot and Mike Tramp of White Lion. After soaking up the vibe in LA and getting a lot of attention on a purely live basis, the band desided that they needed to have a product that would allow them to take the next step. They returned to their native Denmark where they have just completed their first 4 song cd, which is intended to attract some radio and record label interest. The cd will also be sold on the internet at their website. The cd, entitled XXX, consists of 4 very radiofriendly songs which represents everything this band stands for. Good upbeat, positive, progressive rock/pop music. In other words SUPERROCK. |
