Artist description
Although a trumpet player most of my life, an unfortunate accident caused me to be unable to continue performing. However, music always remains one of the most important components in my life. (Second only to my love for the one who has accompanied me on lifes' journey.) Although it became necessary to "change horses in the middle of the stream" the vehicle of my expression is now a keyboard. (I always expressed to my students that the trumpet is a unique combination of musicality and physicality; and that we actually give "the breath of life" (CPR) to the music. I miss those elements in my life, but most of all, I miss the comaradarie that has always been MUSIC. Granted, todays musical vehicles allow for instant gratification. I recall when an orchestration required weeks of tedium; scoring and copying, to meet a deadline that occassionally "went south!" The music represented here represents love of music, and my appreciation for the technology that gives each and everyone of us, tangible evidence that "we passed this way." |

Artist History
As a trumpet player I was fortunate to have recorded and performed with some of the most talented musicians of our time. On the Ed Sullivan Show, I performed with Ella Fitzgerald, Bill Evans, Tom Jones and many others. I also performed with Diana Ross & the Supremes, Joe Williams, Jack Jones, and Sammy Davis, Jr. to name just a few. In 1969, I joined the orchestra and chorus of Fred Waring and The Pennsylvanians. There I met my wife, Irene who was a featured singer with the group, and we resided for twelve years in her homeland of Great Britain. There, I worked as a trumpet player, musical arranger, and producer for The British Broadcasting Company. In 1981, I was a member of a ground breaking, ambassadorial tour of South Africa and Zimbabwe. While there, I performed at The Presidential Palace for officials of the newly installed government. Upon our return to The United States, Irene & I continued to perform together at numerous venues including: Caesars Palace, Trump Plaza, The Detroit Athletic Club and with a 50 piece brass ensemble, featuring musicians from the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra, called The River City Brass Band. |
