Artist description
LEE TURNER is a 25 year old guitarist/singer/songwriter from the North of England. He has been playing guitar since the age of 5, and began writing songs at the age of 13. He names Neil Finn and Paul McCartney as his main songwriting influences, whilst vocally such artists as George Michael, Daryl hall & Peter Cox have inspired him to develop his vocal technique. Since graduating from Salford University, England with a degree in music in 1997, Turner has been collaborating with a number of writers/producers, trying to find the right person to bring his song ideas to life. In January 1999 he did just that when he was introduced to Damian Grady, a producer/remixer/songwriter/musician who had worked on projects involving Beverley Knight, Lulu and Lisa Moorish and with the latter achieved a number 3 in the English Dance Charts. After months of planning, experimenting and pre-production, the pair began work on 5 songs. Songs which have been compared musically with The Lighthouse Family, Conner Reeves & The Corrs and vocally with the likes of George Michael and Robbie Williams. With TURNER'S first of 3 demo CDs now complete, he feels that 2000 will be his year. |

Press Reviews
"Lee Turner should be a hit! His writing and production are deceptively sophisticated" Gods of Music reviewer "Lee Turner writes and performs just wonderfully catchy songs I do enjoy giving him a listen every now and then, because his music makes me a happier person. Michael Beck" "'Reliably Unreliable' - acoustically catchy pop! I think lee's going places if he's not already there! Commercially 9.5/10" Gordon Bell |
