Artist History Unabashedly crude, intensely emotional, calculated either to exhilarate or to offend, Laughing Us music and stance are in direct opposition to the absurdly dismal music scene of the late 90s. As a whole, Laughing Us is a force to be reckoned with. Bringing to the table melodic hooks, pulverizing hard-rock riffs propelled by drums and electronic percussion, with a sonic assault that under all the bombast, is meticulously arranged and begging to pardon that rock cannot be saved. Starting out as a 3-piece experimental techno/noise band, Laughing Us has come a long way in their young 4 years. Fusing the connection between danceable techno grooves and aggressive rock, the brainchild of the band (Joe Faraci) has come up with an immeasurable formula. Working with multiple producers, including now bass player Hans Gutknecht, Laughing Us has matured into a full throttle rock entity. Putting on hard hitting and visually stimulating live performances, its important to the band to keep the audience interested. Diversely experienced, each member of the band brings something for all to delve into. Having played in everything from Ambient to Heavy Metal bands, Joe Faraci delivers a moody vocal style packaged with angst. On guitar, Bobby Kennedy explores dark and sleazy (yet aggressive) guitar riffs to compliment the bands bottom heavy sound. On Bass Guitar Hans Gutknecht shreds chunky bass lines and fills for the bands backbone. Drummer Boyney, simply kicks some shit. Adding a hip-hop flavor is the quick-handed Keith Kohn on the turntable. Put together on a stage is the mayhem known as Laughing Us. Playing such clubs in Hollywood as the Whiskey, Roxy, Dragon Fly and a CD release party at the Viper Room, club owners and promoters always call us back for another performance.
