Artist History Formed in spring of 1999, Just Plain Joe developed quickly with a mutual love for music and musicianship. They spent most of the year writing songs and developing their sound and vibe. By their second gig, they were opening for one of the bigger Pittsburgh bands - The Gathering Field. And they opened for an equally impressive band, Sleeping Giants, on their third gig.
