Artist History DragonEye was born when bass player Frank Arellano heard his British half-stepniece-in-law (yes, really), Joanna McMeikan, warbling an Irish folk song at the '98 family Thanksgiving. They decided to pool their musical talents, and enlisted Frank's longtime friend and former bandmate Rob Basile to hit skins. Rob persuaded his Finnish friend, guitarist Pekka Rintala, to join, and with help in the studio from keyboardist Matt Pavolaitis, the band was off and running.
