Artist description
A classic blues experience: Steve Rowe, master blues guitarist, has been playing the Montreal and Eastern Canada circuit for over 20 years. His talents have been show-cased in numerous performances at the annual The Montreal International Jazz Festival, Labatt Blues Festival, Festi-Blues de St-Jean, and the Carleton Blues Fest. After Steve opened for Smokey Wilson on the Bravo television series "Café Campus en Blues", Smokey clasped Steve's hand with the words "you're an honest bluesman, don't ever change". His highly anticipated new release "Driving the Blues Away" is scheduled for release March 14, 2000.Whether it be the rich, full sound of his 1950's style semi-acoustic Ibanez, or the more familiar wail of his '63 Fender Strat, Steve's virtuosity is recognized and appreciated by fellow musicians and fans alike. A clean, steady sure-hand, he wrings the most out of any blues song.Inspired by a variety of blues styles, from Chicago to Texas, Muddy Waters to Johnny Winter, Steve has played with such greats as Buddy Guy, Albert King and Dutch Mason. His style is unique yet versatile, and always in demand... |
