Artist History
Stephen M. Barnett holds a bachelor's degree in Music Composition from Duke University. As an undergraduate he studied under the tutelage of Stephen Jaffe (a former student of George Crumb) and Scott Lindroth (whose work has been performed by the Bang on a Can Ensemble). In 1996, Stephen received both the Mary Duke Biddle Scholarship and the Henry Schuman Prize in Music Composition. A member of the American Music Center and ASCAP, Stephen is also a participant in the collaborative studio rock project, "Three Guys, Five Eyes." (www.mp3.com/artists/53/three_guys_five_eyes.html) |
