Artist description With rhythms ranging from hip-hop to jungle to illbient to industrial, eclectic melodic structures and a smorgasbord of vocal styles, the New Device Collective combines their experience with a multiplicity of genres to forge ahead and create something new and clearly above the paradigm. NDC aims to express more than the run-of-the-mill post-modern melancholy and world-weariness that the modern consumer seems to find 'chic,' instead opting for themes that are applicable to real life: spirituality, politics, moral responsibility, and creativity (and yes, an occasional love song). NDC is part of the movement which will save our young and promising generation from the oblivion that is imminent unless citizens drop the mindset that all is lost and these are the last days. "These are the first days, you twit!" Constantly open to guests and ideas, this group operates as a communal, evolving beast.
