Artist description We create our own loops, phrases, and samples then combine them with layers of keyboards to create an infectious groove. We mainly do instrumental music but we have a good selection of vocal songs too. The vocal songs are more in the pop or rap type vein. We have well over 100 songs spanning all types of Genre's.

Artist History Moon Io was formed in 1996. The name was taken from Jupiter's Moon Io but we pronounce it "e-oh." The band started when Mike Traudt and Loren Macaluso started to jam together. They would get together at Mike's brother's house and just play. Both Mike and Loren had enjoyed listening and playing music since their "youths" so the music started flying. Why Electronic music? Well, the two of them were into Electronic music and the instruments that they had at hand were, well, Electronic! An old Yamaha DSR2000 and a drum machine they borrowed from Loren's brother-in-law were the main tools. They also used Doug's (Mike's brother) guitar and bass on and off. After awhile the arsenal of equipment started to expand and the band's sound with it. About 1/2 a year after the band formed Pete Traudt, Mike's identical twin, joined into the ranks of the band. Now that the band was whole they focused on getting the right equipment for that Moon Io sound. Three keyboards, a few effects processors, mics, mixer, recording device, and a few different drum machines later the band was definitely coming along. During the band's third year Moon Io decided to start gigging. Now going in their fourth year together Moon Io has started to stretch out onto the old mighty Web and is ready to get their music out to the masses. With years of musical experience and the capabilities to record, Moon Io is ready to get their music out to the public. Thanks for the support!
