Artist description
Against the great tradition of dour Mancunian bands, proto-punk socialist outfit the Freezing Idiots have made their fans by being true to the ethos - turning their backs on success and singing songs about alienation, love, and celebrating the deaths of the royal family. In these times of bland pop and politics, you'd be doing yourself a favour by listening to these hard-bitten, cheerful, cynical, god-hating, life-affirming Altrincham fans. |

Artist History
A review in Manchester's City Life magazine read: "Rushing their pop like there's no tomorrow,...the Freezing idiots have wacked together a great tape that harks back to prime time Wedding Present. You know the score: adrenaline guitars, love song melodies, and a tight-ass rhythm section chundering underneath a well-produced rush of great pop ideas. They are staking the sort of territory Peel digs. This band breathes potential." |
