Press Reviews
Little Rock may be better known as the capital of the president’s home state, but it is also the location of a quirky, occasionally vital music scene that has produced a handful of fine bands over the years. Ashtray Babyhead has been one of Little Rock’s most popular bands, winning the ASCAP-sponsored Arkansas Musician’s Showcase. Musically, Ashtray Babyhead fits neatly alongside bands like The Ramones, The Jam, Green Day, Foo Fighters, and Weezer. “O-Rama,” is an appealing set of crunchy, guitar-driven punkish pop highlights. (BILLBOARD MAGAZINE) A three-ring circus jam packed with relentless fun. (ARKANSAS DEMOCRAT-GAZETTE) The incredible growth of Ashtray Babyhead in the last couple of years has only improved their skills and tightened their act. It hasn’t robbed them of the youthful exuberance that sparkles all through their songs. (ARKANSAS TIMES) Ashtray Babyhead is immediately catchy. There is something for everyone to latch on to. Cool hooks, catchy melodies, and super fine harmonies. As I’ve stated before, it is beyond me why Ashtray Babyhead isn’t all over the radio. (LITTLE ROCK FREE PRESS) |
