Artist description 18/8/1 is one of C. F. Reis pseudonyms, sort of self-taught mundane musician who grew up with a strong accent given by the England and USA experimental rock. Giving up playing with conservative musicians, since 1996, with a cheap electronic paraphernalia in a basement, he makes songs that get rid of any kind of influence.With lots of loops and wrecked samples of his own recorded material, he tries to create a non-link genre, though it could be like a B sci-fi movie soundtrack. The focus on experimentalism affects also the lyrics, which describes paranoiac images, constantly revealing some author’s obsessions, like religion, drugs and prostitutes. Weird noises, reverberations, schizophrenic climates, and distorted voices are some of the electronic sounds that composes his strange music.
